The first medal winner at the Youth Olympics – Marko Jorgić!

We proudly announce that our competitor, Marko Jorgić, became the first representative of Serbia to win a medal at the Youth Olympics! This extraordinary sports manifestation is held in Maribor, and Marko deservedly won bronze in the category up to 55 kg.

After hard fights and top performances, Marko broke all obstacles on the way to the podium. In the first round, he bravely faced the challenge and triumphantly defeated the competitor from Great Britain, CHRANIUK. He continued his winning streak in the second round, where he impressively defeated Estonian competitor SHCHEKOTIN.

In the semi-finals, although he fought with all his heart, Marko faced a strong competitor from Italy, LATTANZI, who was more successful this time. Regardless, Marko did not lose hope and motivation and continued his quest to win a medal.

In the fight for the bronze medal, Marko once again showed exceptional sportsmanship and combativeness. His opponent was a competitor from the Netherlands, RICHARDSON, but Marko did not allow any surprise. With great play and persistence, he triumphed in that decisive battle, winning a well-deserved bronze medal for our national team!

This historic moment for our country in the world of sports makes us extremely happy and motivates us. Marko Jorgić is an example of courage, talent and tireless work, who represented Serbia worthily on the international sports scene.

We congratulate Marko Jorgić on winning the bronze medal and thank him for his tireless efforts and representing our country at the Youth Olympics in Maribor. His success is an inspiration for all young athletes in Serbia to continue with faith in themselves, their talents and possibilities.

Thank you, Marko! We are proud of you!
