Junior European Cup in Athens 2022

The European Cup in the Greek capital was attended by 300 competitors from 27 countries from 3 continents, of which 188 competitors were in the men’s competition, and 112 in the women’s competition.

Our country and the judo club “Partizan” were represented by Aleksandar Petrovski, Nikolina Nišavić and Kristina Nišavić.

Aleksandar Petrovski made his debut at the first European Cup and showed exceptional dedication. Although he fought extremely hard, in the first round he was stopped by the Danish national team player. By the way, Petrovski is our current vice-champion of the state, who will have another opportunity to make us happy with a medal from the European scene as well.

In the first round, Kristina Nišavić defeated the competitor from Romania by winning the ipon, and in the second round she defeated the competitor from Lebanon, also on the ipon, in points 10: 0. In the quarterfinals, Kristina was met by an unpleasant competitor from Israel, where our competitor took the lead on the vassal, but she still lost on ipon. In the first repechage fight, our competitor was better than the Turkish, but unfortunately in the second repechage fight she lost to the competitor from France, where our Kristina was stopped and thus achieved the 7th place. Kristina fought great and showed that she is worth on the world stage as this European Cup was organized. We believe that our Kristina will return from the next European Cup with a medal.

Nikolina Nišavić … CHAMPION and winner of this European Cup in his competition up to 52 kg. She had a thorny path to the finals, which is supported by the fact that all her opponents were on the podium for medals. In the first round, Nikolina defeated the competitor from Greece on the ipon, in the second round she defeated the competitor from Israel with an effective ipon, and in the quarterfinals she defeated the competitor from Romania by winning the vassal. who won last year’s bronze medal at the European Championships. In the semifinals, Nina was met by an unpleasant competitor from our southern province, the so-called the state of “Kosovo”, which last year won a bronze medal at the European Championships and the World Championships, but Nina decided that match in her favor by winning the ipon. In the final, our contestant won against the contestant from Great Britain, defeating her with a vassal and an ipon. With absolute dominance, our competitor shows readiness and quality for the highest feats such as the European and World Championships. We believe in our competitors, we believe in our professional staff and we know that the European Cup that Nina broke through will be a great relief in the future, so that other competitors of our club can continue on the same or similar path. It is not enough to say that we are proud, it is not enough to say that we are happy because of everything we have achieved.

We now have solid evidence that hard work and faith pay off and shine when needed most.

ONE TEAM, ONE FAMILY, PARTIZAN.
