We proudly and with great joy announce that our talented competitors achieved significant success at the Youth Olympics! Bogdan Veličković won bronze in the category up to 73 kg, while our brave competitor Jelena Nišavić took an excellent 7th place in the overall ranking.

Bogdan Veličković showed exceptional sportsmanship and perseverance during the competition. In the first match, he bravely faced an opponent from Moldova, BRINZI, and successfully defeated him. Although he unfortunately lost in the second match to the competitor from Romania, GLIGLA, it did not break his determination.

After a challenge in the second match, Bogdan faced two repechages to get a chance to fight for a medal. In the first rematch, he overwhelmingly defeated the competitor from Ukraine, NIELZIEV, and in the second rematch, he was unchallenged against the competitor from Austria, PROELL. His persistence and effort were rewarded and allowed him to fight for a medal.

In the decisive battle for the bronze medal, Bogdan faced a challenge against the competitor from Germany, IVTCHENKO. However, our talented competitor did not allow even the slightest doubt about the outcome of the fight. With a great game and combativeness, he managed to win and win a beautiful bronze for our judo club Partizan!

Also, we must not forget that our brave contestant Jelena Nišavić also achieved notable success. Her hard work and combativeness enabled her to take a well-deserved 7th place overall. We congratulate Jelena for her courage and perseverance during the competition!
